Three men attack/injure 49-yr-old Trail man

On Sunday April 23, at 9 p.m., a frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP officer received a report that a 49-year-old Trail man was assaulted by three men in the alley in the 900 block of Spokane Street in Trail, according to Trail RCMP NC/oic Sgt. Mike Wicentowich. “The officer located the man who had sustained serious injuries on the ground in the alley,” Wicentowich said. “The man said he was assaulted by 52-year-old Trail man and two accomplices when he was taking his garbage out to the dumpster in the alley. The man was allegedly punch in the head several times, may have lost consciousness, and had a serious shoulder injury. The man was transported for medical treatment to the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital.”

Wicentowich said an officer located the 52-year-old Trail man and arrested him. He will make his first appearance on June 22, 2023, in Provincial Court in Trail.

“The victim and attacker were known to each other. The other two men remain outstanding at this time. Trail RCMP continues to investigate the incident,” Wicentowich said.
