Action at the Outhouse Races
Three mobile outhouses vied for first place at the outhouse races in Sourdough Alley. the winners were the “Squeeze Team” — the younger generation of La Fonds — who trumphed over the other La Fonds, former holders of the coveted toilet seat trophy.
The Firefighters Team was handicapped by their stifling gear on a hot day, by having just come from extinguishing a car fire on the highway near the cemetery, and by the unco-operative steering on their biffy — resulting in at least one crash into the sidelines.
