Trail Air Cadet learns about aviation maintenance in Ontario
Towards the end of July, Warrant Officer Second Class Carter Langman flew to North Bay, Ontario to attend the Aircraft Maintenance Course at Canadore College. Carter was the only cadet from British Columbia and one of twenty from across Canada.
Carter was awarded the Technical Excellence Award by his instructors, recognizing his outstanding work, dedication, and commitment throughout the course and he was also presented with a letter that will accelerate his application to Canadore College should he choose to pursue in Aircraft Maintenance as his future career.
Carter also toured local aviation business, local military installations and visited with England’s Royal Air Force air demonstration squadron, the Red Arrows.
Other cadets from 531 attended summer training at Cadet Training Centres in Vernon and Comox. One cadet also attended a virtual course.
The Trail Air Cadets will start their 76th Training Year on Sept. 16, 2026.
Cadets are between the ages of 12 and 18 and new cadets can register for next year now by completing the online application at https://registration.cadets. gc.ca/get-started.html
