Rossland's Into the Trees Music Festival Releases Lineup

Into the Trees Music Festival has released its full lineup, inviting festivalgoers to spend
three nights this Labour Day weekend under string lights in the forested grove behind the Ram's Head Hotel in
Rossland.
Early-bird passes are already sold out, and only a handful of weekend passes remain for the intimate festival,
running Sept. 4 to 6. Single-day tickets are $99 with a limited number of weekend passes remaining at $249 to
take in all 21 acts across the multi-day event. Newly expanded to three days from two, this year’s event has
created even more opportunities to experience live music in a stunning mountain setting. Headliners include
indie-folk favourites Delhi 2 Dublin, Elliott BROOD and Shred Kelly.
“This is more of a homegrown event. I like to use the term micro festival, keeping it small, and keeping it local,”
says Daniel D’Amour, event organizer. “Whenever there’s live music, you really see Rossland shine, and this
event promises to deliver.”
This year’s lineup features touring acts from Australia’s Kim Churchill; the Andrew Collins Trio from Toronto,
Ont.; JJ Shiplett out of Calgary, Alta.; and the Dan Tait Band from Kelowna, B.C. Rounding out the set are
local and regional artists performing folk, twang and mountain-indie sounds across two stages nestled in the
trees.
Music runs continuously from 5:30 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and caps early at 10 p.m. on Sunday out
of respect for neighbours. Gates open at 5 p.m. each day with food trucks serving tacos and poke bowls
throughout the weekend. To make getting there easier, a complimentary shuttle will run from the Flying
Steamshovel beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Reserved for guests
aged 19 and older, the nightly concerts provide an intimate experience for a limited audience of 400.
New this year is a family-friendly complimentary daytime craft beer, cider and wine tasting event running from
noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The tasting features 12 regional breweries and cideries, including
Rossland Beer Co., Tailout Brewing, West Cyderz, Wild North Brewing, Yellow Dog, and more, along with non-
alcoholic options for younger guests. Weekend pass holders receive complimentary access; otherwise,
admission to the daytime tasting is $10.
“What you’re paying for is a unique micro festival where you can see name-touring acts,” D’Amour says. “I
think we’ve put together a great bill, one that really fits the Rossland vibe. With the intimacy of the venue, it's
going to be a special weekend.”
D’Amour credits sponsors The Flying Steamshovel, The Josie Hotel, RED Mountain, Tailout Brewing, and
Tourism Rossland for supporting the expanded festival’s second year. The event is part of a broader effort by
local businesses and tourism operators to foster visitation beyond the winter season.
