The Word on Rossland's Transit route
Rumours travel fast… but your Rossland transit route isn’t going anywhere.
BC Transit has confirmed there are currently no plans to change transit routes in Rossland – including the lower Rossland service area.
Transit routes and service levels are determined through partnership between BC Transit and local governments, including the RDKB. While routing ideas or safety improvements may occasionally be discussed, no route changes happen without local government support and community input.
Recently, concerns were raised about the left-hand turn from the highway into the Thompson neighbourhood. @BCtransit has been working with the Ministry of Transportation and Transit to help expedite spring line painting, which is expected to improve safety in the area.
Looking ahead, BC Transit will begin a broader transit service review and strategic planning process later this summer. This collaborative process will include local government partners and community feedback – including interest in future service opportunities such as the Redstone neighbourhood.
For now: your bus stop can relax.
