Family Day at the Museum
Bundle up and bring the whole crew to the Museum for a fun-filled BC Family Day celebration on Sunday, February 15, between 10 am and 4 pm!
Enjoy a day of winter fun with a snowy maze, toboggan runs, snow painting, and snowman building. Get creative with hands-on crafts, explore a snowy scavenger hunt, and warm up by the campfire with maple taffy, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider.
It’s a playful, cozy day outdoors with something for all ages — perfect for making Family Day memories together!

Seniors’ Workshop: Photograph Care
Our Seniors’ Workshop Series is back! The first workshop is all about caring for your photograph collection. Learn how to handle, store, and preserve your family’s photographs for future generations! We’ll explore storage methods, documentation, repairs, digitization techniques, and what could put your photos at risk. Feel free to bring some of your photos for us to take a closer look at – we could help tailor some solutions for you and your collection!

BC Heritage Week
We’re celebrating BC Heritage Week from February 17th-22nd!
This year’s Heritage Week: Stir the Pot is an open invitation to celebrate food as a form of heritage that is both deeply personal and widely shared. From heirloom seeds and traditional cooking and harvesting methods to community feasts and intergenerational recipes, food reflects who we are and where we come from. This year’s theme invites British Columbians to explore food as a vessel of memory, identity, and meaning.
We’re celebrating with pay-what-you-can admission by donation all week! Tuesday, February 17th to Sunday, February 22nd — open 10 am to 5 pm.
Stop by the Museum to explore our exhibits and learn about Rossland’s social history, and look out for our food-themed marketing efforts this week!
Stop by the Rossland Public Library for a special BC Heritage Week-themed outreach exhibit: Just a Pinch!
