Take note, lawn  mavens:  on Thursday, September 25, it’s time to stop sprinkling that grass. Lawn-watering is banned during Stage Three.

We can still water our vegetable gardens as needed, but we are asked to conserve water.

Trees, shrubs and flower beds can be watered ONLY with drip or micro irrigation, and only between 7:00 am and 9:00 am, and 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm.  But don’t use water for “new landscaping and repairs” until we are out of Stage Three again.

Also, we may not fill hot tubs or pools, and we may not wash our driveways, roofs, walls, sidewalks and so on — at all.

As for washing our cars, bikes, boats and other such toys, we may wash them only when and as required for health and safety reasons, and then only by hand.
