Free help in living with grief: Hospice Society

January 20th, 2025

You are grieving, and you have made it through the holidays. Now what?

The grief hasn’t gone away, and some people just don’t seem to understand ‘why you can’t get over it’.

Greater Trail Hospice Society is sponsoring an 8-week Grief Support Group starting Tuesday, Feb 11th  from 4:30-6:30 pm, in the community room at the Trail United Church.

Learn more about common issues experienced with grief after many different types of losses, and practical ways to cope with your feelings. You will experience a safe, confidential place where you can share and be listened to.

Many participants say that being in a group while grieving has provided them with hope. “There is always someone who is a little farther along the grief journey, and it helps you to know you can get there too. Or someone else might just be at the beginning after their loss, and you realize that you have made some progress and can help support them. Above all, you find that you are not alone as you cope with your grief.”

Attendance is free. Pre-registration is required.

Phone Greater Trail Hospice Society 250-364-6204. The first grief session will be Tuesday, February 11  to  April 1, and a second session will run May 6 to June 24.

Grief is hard enough. You don’t have to do it alone.
