UPDATED: AMBER ALERT deactivated after missing child, mother located

Langley RCMP confirmed Friday that the AMBER ALERT for missing 4-month-old child has been deactivated.
RCMP confirmed that around 5 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2024, officers were notified by staff at Langley Memorial Hospital that Brianne Ford and son Tyler Durocher were at the facility.
Police attended and confirmed both were in good health. However, circumstances surrounding the parental abduction remain under investigation.
RCMP said on April 4, 2024 an AMBER ALERT was activated based on the information available and imminent concerns for the well-being of 4-month-old child after officers responded to a call in the 7200 block of 208 Street.
Langley RCMP would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in this matter.

Langley RCMP issues AMBER ALERT
The Langley RCMP issued an AMBER ALERT for a three-month old boy Thursday evening after receiving a report of a parental abduction.
The AMBER ALERT was issued at 8:25 p.m. for Tyler Durocher, last seen at 72 Avenue and 208 street in Langley.
RCMP said a 35-year-old women attended an address earlier Thursday afternoon and later fled on foot with the child without permission.
Police said based on the information available, criteria for an AMBER ALERT and the imminent concerns for the well-being of a three-month-old child, an AMBER ALERT has been activated.
Tyler Durocher is described as:
- Age: 3 months old
- Hair: Brown
- Race: Caucasian
- Descriptors: He last seen wearing a blue short sleeve onesie with blue camo pants
Police are also looking for Brianne Ford:
- Age: 35
- Hair: Brown with shaved sides and pink highlights
- Eyes: Brown
- Race: Caucasian, Height: : 5”2 (160 cm), Weight: 154 pounds (70 kgs)
- Descriptors: She was last seen wearing all black clothing.
The Langley Serious Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation and is actively liaising with all partner agencies during this search. Investigators are canvassing the area, following up on multiple tips and continue to pursue all possible avenues of investigation to bring Tyler home safely.
The RCMP’s Air 1 and Search and Rescue were also assisting in the search overnight in the area surrounding 72 Avenue and 208 Street.
RCMP said they believe Ford is likely on foot.
RCMP advise anyone seeing Ford not to approach but to call 9-1-1.
