Programming Overview:
Winter programming at the museum has arrived and we’ve organized a Winter of discovery and fun with our weekly programs!
  • Toddlers can explore, play, and learn at Cub Club from 10 to 11 am each TUESDAY morning. 
  • In Young Naturalists (ages 6-12), we’ll dive into nature on TUESDAY afternoons from 3 to 5 pm. 
  • *NEW* During our Homeschoolers Explore Program (ages 7-12), students will cover a range of subjects, including natural sciences, social studies, Indigenous studies, and art every WEDNESDAY from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Unearth the world of geology with Rockhounds (ages 6-12) on THURSDAY from 3 to 5 pm. 
  • STEAM Saturdays – a hands-on adventure for all ages happening every SATURDAY from 1 to 3 pm! Let the excitement begin!
Cub Club:
Join the adventure at Cub Club on Tuesday mornings from 10-11 am! Specifically designed for little explorers aged 2-5, each week’s program will feature a theme woven through Story Time, Active Play, and Crafting, and end with a Farewell Song! Your little ones will have a paws-itively amazing time!
WHO: Ages 2-5 – Parent/guardian attendance required. 
WHEN: Tuesdays 10-11 am. Running from Jan. 9 to March 12. 
COST: $7 for members, $8 for non-members (for participating toddlers only).

YOUNG NATURALISTS:
Dive into the wonders of nature with Young Naturalists, a program tailored for our Kootenay community! Develop essential skills and knowledge to embrace the wonder of the outdoors and become stewards of our natural home. Through new crafts and activities each week, explore different ecological concepts and ideas, connect with our local environment, and learn to better understand our relationship with the natural world.
 
WHO: Ages 6-12. 
WHEN: Tuesdays 3-5 pm. Running from Jan. 9 to March 12.   
COST: $14 for members, $16 for non-members.
Punch passes (10x) available: $126 for members, $144 for non-members.

*NEW* Homeschoolers Explore:
Starting this January, the Rossland Museum will be launching a brand new children’s program to add to our already awesome catalog of programming/ This program is specifically designed to provide supplementary learning to local homeschooled kids, so if you have a child who is homeschooled and you’re looking for more opportunities to get them out of the house and in a social learning environment, this program is perfect for you. The new homeschool program will cover a range of subjects, including natural sciences, social studies, Indigenous studies, and art.
 
WHO: Ages 7-12
WHEN: Wednesdays 10:30-11:30 a.m. Running this season from Jan. 24 to March 13.
COST: $14 for members, $16 for non-members

Rockhounds:
Discover the captivating world beneath your feet with Rockhounds! Join us after school every Thursday from 3-5 pm for a thrilling journey into the realm of minerals and rocks. Uncover the wonders of geology through exciting activities that will spark your curiosity and deepen your appreciation for the treasures hidden in plain sight. From mysterious minerals to not-so-regular rocks, Rockhounds is where fun and learning collide!
 
WHO: Ages 6-12 
WHEN: Thursdays 3-5 p.m. Running from Jan. 11 to March 14.
COST: $14 for members, $16 for non-members.

S.T.E.A.M.:
Join us for S.T.E.A.M. Saturdays – where Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics meet FUN! Dive into the world of creativity and discovery as we blend these disciplines into exciting hands-on activities.
 
WHO: All ages welcome! 
WHEN: Drop-in Saturday afternoons from 1-3 p.m. for a blast of inspiration. Running from Jan. 13 to March 9. 
COST: Free for members, included in admission for non-members. 
 
* This program is on a drop-in basis, no pre-registration is required.
