Sally (she/her) was born and raised in Rossland and is looking forward to a great summer in the community. She just finished her second year of university at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, majoring in environmental chemistry. Sally is looking forward to integrating her studies into helping community members conserve water and enjoy their beautiful yards this summer!

Throughout her time at the City of Rossland, Sally hopes to educate the public about water conservation efforts, how we can all help to reduce our ecological footprints, and how this can help save you money along the way.

“I am passionate about environmental conservation, so I am really looking forward to spending the summer learning and sharing that knowledge within my community” says Sally, “We are so lucky to live where we do and to have access to the resources we do, so it’s great to have programs like this one that encourage protecting those precious commodities we often take for granted!”. She will be offering free lawn and garden assessments and will be performing community outreach about water conservation efforts. Sally is excited to share her knowledge about how to have a “greener” yard through the Water Smart Program.

For more information or to book a lawn assessment, please contact your Water Smart Ambassador at water.smart@rossland.ca.
