Police are looking for a man who hit a pedestrian with his vehicle last week, according to Trail RCMP Sgt. Mike Wicentowich.

“On Nov. 9 at 12:06 p.m. the Trail and Greater District Detachment RCMP investigated a complaint of an collision between a pedestrian and vehicle in the 1200 block of Cedar Avenue,” Wicentowich said in a press release. “A pedestrian was walking across Cedar Avenue when she was struck in the back by a reversing gold-coloured Hyundai Sante Fe being driven by an elderly male wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans, ball cap and glasses.”

Wicentowich said the man did speak to the woman briefly, and is thought to be a local resident.

The woman was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“Please call the Trail and Greater District Detachment RCMP at 250-364-2566 if you have any information about this incident or the driver’s identity.”
