Saga continues after grow-op destroyed by fire
A blaze that destroyed a local house/marijuana grow-op may be continuing to prove problematic for its owner, according to RCMP Sgt. Mike Wicentowich. (See previous coverage: https://castlegarsource.com/news/fire-guts-home-licensed-grow-op-trail )
“On Sept. 27, the Trail and Greater District Detachment RCMP assisted the Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Department with the investigation into a residential fire located in the 1400 block of Neilson Street in Trail,” he said.
“The unoccupied residence contained an indoor marihuana growing operation which contained approximately 600 marihuana plants. The owner presented the RCMP with four licences to produce marihuana; however, upon enquiry with Health Canada, the RCMP learned that three of the licences were expired. The RCMP continue to investigate the incident under the Cannabis Control and Licencing Act.
