Three people stabbed, three others arrested in Whistler assault
Three people were stabbed in the village stroll are of Whistler, according to RCMP S/Sgt. P.K. Hayes.
“On Feb. 11 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Whistler RCMP responded to a report of a fight and stabbing in the 4200-block of Village Square,” Haynes said in a press release Monday..
“Upon arrival, officers learned that several bystanders tried to break up a fight occurring in the Village Stroll. During the attempt to stop the assault, three males suffered stab wounds. All three male victims were transported to local area hospitals. Two males are in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. One victim is in critical condition with life threatening injuries.
“Whistler RCMP officers were immediately on scene and quickly identified and arrested three individuals in relation to this event. The three male suspects in their early 20s reside in the Lower Mainland and are known to police. The suspects are being held in custody at this time.
“This investigation is still in its very early stages and continues to evolve. The investigators are appealing for the public’s help to identify any witnesses or provide any video evidence that they may have taken.
