The Fall Fair is a Rossland institution, and it’s great fun. Summertime is when gardeners begin plotting to grow the biggest, the best, the finest vegetables … not to mention trying out recipes for the baking contests, and preparing arts and crafts for a wide variety of categories. Here’s what the Fall  Fair Committee says:

“Summer is almost here!  It’s time to tend your garden and start thinking about the Rossland Fall Fair!

“The Fall Fair takes place in the Rossland Arena from 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday, Sept 8th in conjunction with Golden City Days weekend.  The Fair consists of an agricultural and craft exhibition as well as a wide variety of vendor and information booths and the Rossland Mountain Market will be on hand with their special Saturday market. The Petting Zoo and Fish Pond are a highlight for the kids and the Golden City Railway Modelers club will be back with their model train display.  Live music and entertainment will be ongoing in the arena throughout the day.

“Children and adults are encouraged to bring their exhibits to the Arena on Fri, Sept 7th from noon to 7 pm.  All entries will be judged with ribbons and prize money awarded and exhibits will be on display during the Fall Fair on Sat. Sept 8th. Special sponsorship prizes from Bernardin, Crisco and Robin Hood will be awarded to exhibitors in the baking and canning sections.

“Brochures and entry forms are available now on the Rossland Fall Fair website www.rosslandfallfair.ca and at the Library, City Hall and the Credit Union.”
