RCMP asking for assistance following Slocan Valley hit & run accident

RCMP is asking for public assistance in locating the driver who left the scene of an accident in Slocan Valley Sunday morning.

RCMP said in a media release, the accident occurred at approximately 9 a.m. Sunday, November 19th.

“A 1990’s Jeep Cherokee Wagon was observed travelling at a high rate of speed from Little Slocan South Road onto Indian Point Road in the Slocan Valley,” the RCMP release said.

“The driver of the Jeep lost control and went off road striking Canada Post mailboxes, causing damage to the mailbox.”

“The vehicle then fled the scene,” the RCMP media release added.

Police said the vehicle is described as a 1990’s Jeep Cherokee Wagon that is maroon in colour. 

“There will be damage to the front of the Jeep, specifically around the front driver’s side headlight area,” the RCMP said.
