To celebrate National Seniors Day, transit users 65 years of age or over will be able to ride the bus for free in the West Kootenay Transit System on Monday, October 2.

While National Seniors Day (October 1) falls on a Sunday this year, the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary, the Regional District of Central Kootenay, the City of Nelson and BC Transit still want to mark the occasion by offering free fare for seniors on all routes the following day.

To enjoy the free ride, seniors only need to present their valid ID when they board the bus.
