Two vehicles, a boat and a motorhome were destroyed in a fire yesterday afternoon in Fruitvale, according to KBRFR Cpt. Ryan Smyth.

He said the call came in at 2:58 p.m., and crews arrived at the private residence 3:01 p.m. Trail, Montrose and Fruitvale crews responded.

Upon arrival, they found all four vehicles fully engulfed in flames, Smyth said.

They had the fire controlled by 3:57 p.m.

“The cause is unknown at this time, that’s under investigation,” Smyth said.

Trail RCMP Acting Sgt. Devon Reid said the fire appears not to be suspicious in nature, but the investigation is ongoing.

No one was injured and no structures were threatened by the blaze.
