Several Slocan Valley homes remain on Evacuation Alert

A reduction in water levels on the Slocan River has allowed the Regional District of Central Kootenay to rescind Evacuation Orders for the last home on Voykin Road.
However, the RDCK said the area will remain on Evacuation Alert with residents prepared to evacuate, if necessary.
The properties that remain on Evacuation Alert are:

Sand and sandbags are available at the Slocan Fire Hall at 8877 Slocan Street South in Slocan and the Silverton Fire Hall at 410 Hume Street in Silverton.
