Police seek suspects in robbery/assault

Castlegar RCMP are investigating robbery and assault that occurred at the Flamingo Hotel in Castlegar at approximately 3 p.m. Dec.13, according to RCMP Sgt. Laurel Mathew.

“The owner of the motel was accosted by two persons inside the motel, restrained, and assaulted with a weapon. The suspects fled with assorted valuables,” she said.”The victim was transported to hospital but did not suffer life threatening injuries.”

The suspects are described as: Caucasian male, approximately 5’8″ tall with brown hair, and a Caucasian female, approximately 5’6″ tall/ The suspects fled in a dark-coloured pick up truck that was very muddy, and had no canopy.

There is no more information available at this time, as police are still investigating.
