Break-and-enter at Castlegar DQ prompts police to ask public for information
A break-and-enter at the DQ last night has police requesting public assistance and information, according to RCMP Sgt. Laurel Mathew.
“On Monday, Aug. 15, Castlegar RCMP responded to a break-and-enter complaint at the Castlegar Dairy Queen, located at 604 18 Street,” Mathew said. “Some time between 10 p.m. on Aug. 14 and 8 a.m on Aug. 15, suspect(s) gained entry into the business by cutting a hole through the roof in the rear corner (northeast). An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, and there was significant damage done to the office area of the business.”
She said police are continuing their investigation.
“If anyone witnessed anything in the area they feel may be useful for police to know, they are asked to call the Castlegar RCMP detachment at (250)365-7721.”
