One man injured in Paulson Summit MVA
A passing motorist ended an ugly ordeal for a fellow traveller early this morning, by driving into cell range and calling 9-1-1 to report a vehicle in the ditch at the Paulson Summit this morning, according to Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue Captain Greg Ferraby.
He said the call came in at about 7:50 Saturday morning.
“We found a man trapped in his vehicle in a ditch,” Ferraby said, adding they used the Jaws of Life to extract him. “We had to cut the roof off the car to get him out.”
The man was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Ferraby said he wasn’t sure what caused the crash, but he was sure alcohol was not a factor.
