No major injuries following two vehicle accident Wednesday in Uphill
Two drivers walked away from a two-vehicle fender bender shortly before lunch Wednesday in the Uphill district of Nelson.
Nelson Police and Nelson Fire Rescue responded to the two-vehicle accident at approximately 11:30 a.m. on the corner of Carbonate and Josephine Streets.
It appears a west bound white SUV entered the intersection, striking a brown Toyota Corolla in the driver’s side door heading south on Josephine Street.
The Toyota Corolla ended up on the sidewalk in the 800 block of Josephine Street, narrowly missing a tree and stopping before hitting a cement wall.
No one was injured in the accident as both vehicles were driving slowly due to wintry road conditions.
Both vehicles were towed from the accident scene.
The white SUV suffered damage to its front end while the Corolla will require body work to the driver’s side door and front end.
Nelson Police continue to investigate the accident.
