Accused bank robber Andrew Stevenson pleads guilty in Nelson Court
Andrew Zacharias Stevenson, who robbed several West Kootenay businesses, pleaded guilty in Nelson Provincial Court Tuesday to a laundry list of charges.
The charges include robbery using a restricted prohibited firearm, unlawful use of a firearm, using an imitation firearm and breaking and entering.
Stevenson, appearing via video link, confirmed his plea on eight counts as read out by his lawyer Ken Wyllie.
Stevenson was charged with the robbery of the Nelson and District Credit Union, Kootenay Currency Exchange, both on Vernon Street in Nelson, and businesses in Castlegar and Robson.
Stevenson, who waived trial and after saying he would plead guilty to charges in March, will appear again in court June 22.
