Kelowna RCMP look for more child victims of accused prolific pedophile
Police are asking the public for help in identifying the victims of an accused prolific pedophile, according to Kelowna RCMP Cpl. Joe Duncan.
“Investigators fear there could be more victims of a man accused of sexual assaults involving children and are asking anyone who has had contact with him to call police,” Duncan said.“On Feb. 17, the Kelowna RCMP received a report of a sexual assault involving multiple child victims and a known suspect. As a result of the investigation, David Mchale, 61, of Peachland has since been charged with numerous counts of Sexual Assault related offences against children.
“Investigators are very concerned that there may be other victims and are looking to speak with anyone who may have information,” he added. “If you know of any child who has had contact with David Mchale, please contact Cpl. Tretiak of the Kelowna RCMP Child Abuse Section at 250-470-6368.”
David Mchale remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Kelowna Provincial Court in April 9, 2015.
