Bull-A-Rama cancelled this year
It is with great regret that the Kootenay Chrysler Bull-A-Rama Chair has come to the decision to cancel the upcoming 14th annual Bull-A-Rama event scheduled for April 25th at the Cominco Arena.
“This was not an easy decision as we have received unbelievable support for the event from sponsors and fans,” says Gord McMartin, Committee Chair. “Over the last 13 years, the event has also given back to local non-profit groups in excess of $200,000. The Committee is very proud of this and we are disappointed that we are not able to proceed with the event again this year.”
Trail Council recently gave the Committee the approval to proceed with this year’s Bull-A-Rama as part of the Committee taking over more of the associated tasks. In past years, City employees have played an active role in executing the event. Now that the Committee Chair has had the necessary time to review the overall operational structure of the event, including the budget and resource implications that are associated with delivering the event this year, it has been determined that a complete reorganization is required before resuming; in this respect the event may return in the future if the appropriate structure can be put into place.
“The Committee would like to thank all of the fans for their undying support over the years,” continues McMartin. “Without the fans and the support of the community, the event wouldn’t have been as successful as it was. We’d also like to extend a big thank-you to all of our generous sponsors who have been on board since the event’s inception, City of Trail staff, and our event organizing committee who spent countless hours each year behind the scenes planning and delivering the event.”
