Search efforts by emergency personnel for Victoria Aguilar are ongoing and police continue to seek public information into her disappearance, according to RCMP Const. Kris Clark.

This is the second request RCMP have sent out to the public.

“The Slocan Lake RCMP along with Nakusp Ground Search and Rescue, RCMP Police Dog Services, and New Denver Fire and Rescue Boat have been searching for Victoria Aguilar since she was reported missing on Jan. 7,” said Clark.

“The search has covered an expansive area consisting of abandoned roads, trails, beach fronts, river shores, water areas, cabins and open fields, in and around Slocan. Despite the exhaustive three-day ground search, Victoria has not been located.

“Physical search efforts by emergency personnel continue with a search from the air to be conducted when weather allows. Further searches will be planned pending snow melt and/or further information coming forth leading searchers to any specific area.”

He said investigators continue to seek public information from anyone that could help in locating Victoria.

The investigation into Victoria Aguilar’s disappearance is ongoing and police are asking anyone with any information regarding her whereabouts to contact their local police, or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
