BREAKING: Bodies of Slocan drowning victims recovered
On Wednesday morning, May 28, the bodies of three male youth who died in Slocan Lake on May 10 were successfully recovered, according to RCMP Sgt. Darryl Little.
The deceased are Hayden Kyle, 21, Skye Donnet, 18, and Jule Wiltshire-Padfield, 15.
“The recovery efforts involved Ralston and Associates, Arrow Lakes Search and Rescue plus the RCMP dive team,” he said. “The BC Coroners Department has now assumed control of the investigation.
“As previously noted, the bodies were located in approximately 500 feet of water. The good weather this morning made recovery efforts much easier than anticipated, and families of the youth have all been advised of their recovery.”
