Victim of Wednesday's car crash identified as Riondel resident

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident near Yahk on May 7, 2014.
He is Rudy Lauritzen, aged 64, of Riondel.
Lauritzen was the driver of a westbound car, which was involved in a collision with an eastbound tractor-trailer unit on Highway 3/95 near Irishman’s Creek at about 3:45 p.m. on May 7.
Lauritzen was deceased at the scene.
The Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
Lauritzen’s family has been notified of his death.
