Last year, the Highway 6 north of Slocan to Vernon found a spot on the top ten list of BCAA’s Worst Roads’ List.

Many who drive the highway from the Slocan Junction may disagree with the 2013 final poll results, saying the entire road needs to be included.

And what about Highway 31 from Balfour to Kaslo and onto Meadow Creek or Highway 31A to New Denver?

And Highway 3B or Highway 22? The Highway 3A west of Grand Forks?

West Kootenay motorists get a chance to have a say during the 2014 BCAA’s “Worst Roads” campaign.

The campaign is designed to find those deteriorating, full of potholes roads or poorly designed highways for cyclists and pedestrians create unsafe situations for everyone.

BCAA said highways or roads receiving 10 or more votes would be highlighted in the report provided to government.

So the provincial Automobile Association is asking travelers to spread the word to locate those dangerous stretches of highway.

Votes can be cast until May 26, 2014 and the Top 10 ‘Worst Roads’ List will be published here on our website.

In 2013 Highway 6 from Slocan City to Vernon checked in at No. 5 on the survey.

For the second year in a row, Kelowna’s Westside Road earned top spot.

BC Parkway bike path was third followed by Pacific Rim Highway on Vancouver Island.

The Malahat Island Highway finished sixth followed by Indian River Drive in North Vancouver, Sea-to-sky Highway, Harris Road in Vancouver and Todd Road near Kamloops.
