UPDATE: No new information a week after sketch released

RCMP have no additional information a week after a sketch was released to the public in the November 13 robbery of the Shopper’s Simply Pharmacy Castlegar, formerly Paragon Pharmacy, in the Sunflower City.

The suspect, described as early 20’s, approximately 5’8″, slim build wearing a dark blue/grey jacket, entered the pharmacy brandishing a shotgun and proceeded to rob the pharmacy making off with a large amount of Prescription medication and Canadian currency.  

The male fled on foot out the back door of the pharmacy and was seen running from the area of the robbery shortly thereafter.

The active file is being investigated by the RCMP Crime Reduction Units.

Castlegar RCMP have released a sketch drawing of the male believed to be involved in the November 13 robbery of the Shopper’s Simply Pharmacy Castlegar, formerly Paragon Pharmacy,in the Sunflower City.

“Castlegar RCMP are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the male depicted in the sketch,” said Sergeant Darryl Little Ops Support NCO for the Kootenay Boundary Regional Detachment.

The suspect entered the pharmacy brandishing a shotgun and proceeded to rob the pharmacy making off with a large amount of Prescription medication and Canadian currency.  

The male, described as early 20’s, approximately 5’8″, slim build wearing a dark blue/grey jacket, fled on foot out the back door of the pharmacy. 

A male was seen running from the area of the robbery shortly thereafter.

Sgt. Little said anyone with information or recognizing the person in the sketch is asked to contact  Castlegar RCMP Detachment, or Crime Stoppers at (250) 365-7721.
