Nelson Police kept busy last week in Heritage City

A B & E, domestic dispute and a male arrested in Lakeside Park for breaching conditions kept Nelson Police busy last week.

Friday (August 17), at 44-year-old was in the wrong place at the wrong time as police arrested the man in Lakeside Park for breaching his conditions on a recognizance of release regarding a previous charge for a sexually oriented offence in another jurisdiction.

The man was remanded in custody and now is waiting for a court date in Nelson Monday (August 20).

Domestic report lands man in Nelson court

Thursday (August 16) police were called to a domestic report occurring in the 400 block Victoria Street.

When officers arrived they apprehended a 46-year-old male who was attempting to flee the scene. 

The man was charged with breaching an 810 CCC Peace Bond and made a court appearance Friday (August 17) morning.

Man caught with evidence on his face

Wednesday (August 15) staff at a local restaurant arrived for work to find a man helping himself to breakfast.

The man immediately fled when staff arrived, but description obtained by Nelson Police located the person of interest a short time later at Cottonwood Park.

The male also was in possession of stolen items from the restaurant and had tomato sauce on his face.

Charged with the break and enter is 44-year-old David Bridgewater.

Bridgewater made a court appearance Wednesday morning.
