It will be Beacon Hills playing White Rock and Dunbar battling Hastings as the B.C. Little League Baseball Championships enter the playoff stage Friday at Andy Bilesky Park in Trail.

The final playoff spot was detemined Wednesday when Beacon Hills of Victoria pounded Trail pitching for 10 first inning runs en route to a 13-11 decision over the Allstars.

The win moved Beacon Hills into the fourth, and final, playoff spot.

Trail Allstars, with one win in five games, finished the tournament in fifth spot.

After yeilding the 10-spot in the opening frame, the Allstars pushed across seven runs in the next two innings to cut the margin to 10-7.

However, Trail could not get over the hump as Beacon Hills managed to hold off the charge from the home side.

White Rock and Hastings finished in a tie for top spot, each with 4-1 records.

However, White Rock was awarded first place after defeating the Vancouver squad 7-6 during the round robin draw.

Semi Final Friday begins at noon with White Rock hosting Beacons Hills.

The two Vancouver teams meet in the second semi final at 3 p.m.

The two winners advance to the championship game at noon Saturday.

The B.C. Champ represents the province at the Canadian Championships next month in Edmonton.
