Trail Allstars outlast Forest Hills, big game Wednesday against Beacon Hill

The hosts finally got into the win column.

After three straight losses, the Trail Allstars used a nine-run fourth inning to outlast Forest Hills 15-11 at the 2012 B.C. Little League Championships Tuesday at Andy Bilesky Park in the Silver City.

The Allstars pounded Forest Hills pitching for eight hits including a home run by Derek Green.

Brendan McKay of Trail and Quinn Hall of Nelson also homered for the Allstars.

Green was the winning pitcher for Trail while Ethan Nelson-Hunt took the loss.

Trail finished the game with 15 hits.

White Rock leads the standings with a 4-0 record.

Vancouver’s Dunbar and Hastings are tied for second at 3-1. The Trail Allstars and Beacon Hill are tied for the final playoff spot, each with a victory in four starts.

The two teams meet in what should determine the final playoff spot in the four team semi final tonight at 5 p.m. at Andy Bilesky Park.

Friday is semi final day with the two winners meeting for the B.C. Title Saturday at noon.

The winner represents the province of BC at the Canadian Championships, August 4-11 in Edmonton, Alta.
