The Capitol Theatre in Nelson is proud to announce the Pop Rock trio Hanson is coming to the Heritage City Sunday, January 29.

Currently on the South American leg of their long-awaited Shout It Out World Tour, Hanson also announced an extensive string of Canadian concerts starting January 23rd in Vancouver.

“This tour will be the most extensive Canadian tour we’ve done to date. We’re excited to visit many parts of the country for the first time, and make Canada a part of our world tour”, said singer and drummer, Zac Hanson.

The Shout It Out World Tour which makes it’s way through Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, The Netherlands, Italy, Germany, France, and the UK, has received an ecstatic response from fans since it was announced earlier this fall.

The international dates follow the band’s extensive U.S. two-month Musical Ride Tour, which concluded November 1st.

In addition to the Canadian shows, the band is adding on several dates rescheduled from their Musical Ride Tour due to illness.

Hanson’s fifth studio album Shout It Out, which debuted at #2 on the U.S. Billboard Independent charts, has fueled the continued passion of fans around the world, lead by the infectious soul-inspired single Thinking ‘Bout Somethin’ and the smash follow-up Give A Little.

The album highlights music legends, guest bass player Bob Babbit of Motown fame, and horn arranger Jerry Hey, best known for his work with Michael Jackson and Earth Wind and Fire.

Hanson has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, sold over 16 million albums and has been releasing records independently since 2003 to critical and fan acclaim alike.

Over more than 14 years since their debut major release, the band has earned praise for their songwriting, musicianship and dynamic live performances, with New York‘s Village Voice calling them the “Finest Straight Up Rock Band In America”.

Tickets, $41.50 + service charge, are available at the Capitol Theatre Box Office at 421 Victoria St. in Nelson, or by phone at (250) 352-6363 or online at www.capitoltheatre.bc.ca
