Rossland will be entering the national WinterLights Competition for the first time this winter. WinterLights is the winter version of the Communities in Bloom competition held each summer across Canada.

Participating in this competition will allow Rossland to showcase its many snowy charms; the overarching goal of the competition is to boost tourism by allowing communities to showcase their strengths.

Deanne Steven, Executive Director of Toursim Rossland, believes that “the WinterLights competition is a great fit for Rossland as we are so picturesque and beautiful in the winter. We are extremely fortunate that the Nelson and District Credit Union has decided to sponsor us for this competition and appreciate their continued community support.
The WinterLights committee is looking for members and would welcome
volunteers who are interested in being involved.”

The Nelson and District Credit Union has kindly agreed to sponsor the event and I’m sure all Rosslanders agree that we should be a (snow) shoe-in.

If you’re interested in volunteering or in learning more about this event, please contact Deanne Steven at 250-231-1247 or email her at Deanne@tourismrossland.com
