Smoke Eaters Donate Over $2,600 To Orange Shirt Society
The Trail Smoke Eaters, along with the Murphy Family Foundation are proud to announce that we have raised over $2,600 for the Orange Shirt Society from last month’s orange t-shirt sales!
The Smoke Eaters were proud to incorporate our logo with the phrase “Every Child Matters” onto orange t-shirts for fans and community members to purchase ahead of Canada’s National Day for Truth & Reconciliation/Orange Shirt Day. Through the Murphy Family Foundation covering the base costs of the shirts to be produced and thanks to the amazing support of you, the fans, we were able to raise $2,619.65 for the Orange Shirt Society, a B.C.-based nonprofit organization whose work raises awareness of the residential schools and of the concept that “Every Child Matters.”
We are immensely grateful for the overwhelming support of our Smokies community, and we thank you for helping us proclaim that Every Child Matters. Thank you to the Murphy Family Foundation for their partnership in this project.
