Women Creating Change presents Wonder Women:  The Untold Story of American Superheroines

In honour of International Women’s Day, Women Creating Change is hosting two film showings of Wonder Women:  The Untold Story of American Superheroines.  This film traces the fascinating evolution and legacy of Wonder Woman.  From birth to the comic book superheroine in the 1940s to the blockbusters of today, Wonder Women! looks at how popular representations of powerful women often reflect society’s anxieties about women’s liberation.

Suitable for all ages and genders, Wonder Women! will be shown, free of charge at:

·         Beaver Valley Public Library, Thursday, March 5th 7:00-8:30pm

·         Rossland Public Library, Saturday March 7th, 3:30-5:00pm.

Women Creating Change is a partnership between the Greater Trail Community Skills Centre and the Trail Family & Individual Resource Center Society.  Funded by the Status of Women Canada, Women Creating Change has been identifying and addressing the barriers and supports to economic security and stability for women in the Lower Columbia Region.  For more information on the Women Creating Change project, please visit:  www.womencreatingchange.org or contact Tara Howse, Program Coordinator at wcc@communityskillscentre.com.
