January Speaker Series - The Climate Crisis: Local/Global Challenges & Opportunities. Our Speaker Series is back - beginning in January with Laura Sacks of the West Kootenay Climate Hub! On Thursday, Jan. 26, Climate Activist Laura Sacks will address why and how climate change is manifesting itself both globally and locally. Come out to the Museum at 6 p.m. for an engaging night as Laura interweaves information about the climate crisis with personal stories and experiences shared from the audience. She'll share exciting news about climate solutions and describe some of the initiatives helping to overcome obstacles in addressing the climate crisis.

Join the Museum for select Wednesday afternoon presentations where we will enjoy snacks, refreshments and stories of days past that have become legends, lore, and the origin stories of our special place in the heart of the BC interior. This programming, in partnership with local seniors, is open to all ages from the youngest of old souls to the oldest of the young-at-heart.
