On Sept. 1, at 7:02 p.m. the Trail and Greater District Detachment RCMP received a complaint of an unknown male who had ripped a screen of the front door of a residence in the 2000 block of Riverside Avenue, according to Trail top cop RCMP Sgt. Mike Wicentowich..

“The home owner confronted the male then chased him (the suspect) from the property,” Wicentowich said. “The suspect threatened to throw a large rock at the owner during the chase, which prompted the owner to stop the pursuit and return home. The RCMP conducted an investigation and made a considerable effort to locate the suspect without success.”

He said the RCMP are looking for a male suspect with curly black hair, two tattoos under his eyes, and wearing a red shirt and black shorts.

“At this time, we don’t know what the relationship is between the two – our understanding is that this person was, at the time, unknown to the resident,” said Sgt. Mike Wicentowich. “But from reviewing the file, I don’t think the general public has anything to fear from this person.”
