High School student volunteers at Seven Summits Centre for Learning in Rossland are available until the end of May to help out with garden chores and spruce up outside spaces for local residents, as the innovative educator launches ‘The Big Rossland Spring Yard Clean Up’.

“The students need a certain number of volunteer hours, and this gets them out in the community helping people – it ticks all the boxes,” said spokesperson Viv Hurley. “It’s also a fundraiser, so if people want to offer a donation, we’d gratefully accept it.”

Anyone interested in taking advantage of the community initiative, for themselves or their elderly friends and relatives, can contact Seven Summits Centre for Learning direct on 250-362-7772 during opening hours (Mon – Thurs, 8.30 a.m. – 4 p,m,).  Alternatively, they can submit a short Help Wanted! form available on its website  http://www.sevensummitslearning.com.  They can also get in touch via Facebook and Instagram @sevensummitslearning
