Gyro Park boat launch temporarily closed

The boat launch at Gyro Park in Trail is temporarily closed due to high river levels. Barricades and signs have been placed in the area to inform the public of the closure. Although closed, emergency personnel will have access to the boat launch, if required.
The City reminds residents to use caution around riverbanks during this period of heavy precipitation, and also reminds residents that the Provincial River Forecast Centre has issued a flood watch for the West Kootenay region. Smaller streams and creeks in the area may be impacted – please call City of Trail Public Works directly at 250-364-0840 to report localized flooding in the community.
