Red Mountain Racers need you...yes you!

February 22nd, 2012

The biggest race of the Red Mountain calendar will be landing here next weekend.  The Miele BC Cup brings FIS racers from all over western Canada and the United States in their bid to lower their points score in the FIS rankings. In addition, this year we have entries from Spain, Italy, Great Britain and Eritrea.

“We are a small club,” says Christine Andison, chief of volunteers for this weekends event.  “As such, in order to put on a race of this magnitude we really look to the community to help out.”

We are really in need of volunteers on all days.  The cool thing about volunteering on such an event is that you get to see pretty high calibre racing from a very close angle, and with absolutely no experience in ski racing, you can be a part of a really exciting event that brings people from all over Western Canada and United States who will be contributing to the local economy and feeling the warm West Kootenay hospitality.

If you can spare a day or an afternoon starting this Saturday 25-28 Feb, please contact Christine Andison at christine@redmountainventures.com or (250)362-5135.
