Two 531 Squadron cadets receive medals and other recognized

During 531’s CO’s parade on December 3rd, 2025, several awards were presented to deserving cadets.
Cadets Sergeant Vedashrii Raju and Sergeant Sam Richardson were awarded their Air Cadet Service Medals. The medals were presented by the 531 Squadron Sponsoring Chairperson, Diane Langman and the cadets’ parents. The medal is presented to cadets who have completed 4 years in the Air Cadet program.
Flight Sergeant Ryden Wahl was promoted to Warrant Officer 2nd Class.
Cadets Joey Gill and Lynessa Gill were promoted to Leading Air Cadet.
The Instructor of the Month for the month of November was Flight Sergeant Connor Chandler.
Several weeks ago, the cadets participated in the Cadet Fitness Assessment. During the parade, many of the cadets got badges representing the level that they achieved.

531 Squadron meets every Wednesday evening in the Kemball (Trail) Armoury at 1990 7th Ave, starting at 6:15pm.
New cadets are welcome at any time. Cadets are between the ages of 12 and 18. New cadets can start their application at https://registration.cadets.gc.ca/get-started.html
Adults who would like to volunteer with the squadron are also welcome.

  • The 2025-26 training year marks 531 squadron’s 75th Anniversary. The squadron was formed on 02 March 1951.
