Rossland Readers Rejoice!
Readers rejoice – our library is accessible again! With restrictions, of course, for everyone’s protection. Our dedicated library staff are offering “take-out” service — with distancing.
Library Takeout @Rossland Public Library is a click or call-and-collect service. Members may request by phone, email or through the online catalogue and staff at the Library will gather books or movies from the shelves. When Library Takeout orders are ready, materials are packed in single-use paper bags and the member will be called to say their order is ready. Pick-ups will take place between 10am and 1pm, Tuesday – Saturday at the front door where contactless pick-up will take place.
“Stories help us through the tough times and we are happy to be able to return a way of sharing stories that most are familiar with to the community once again.” says Library Director Beverley Rintoul. “Our digital services have been well used and we hope people will continue to find uplifting stories in all their forms.”
Protocols are in place to minimize the transmission of disease, with staff wearing masks and gloves. Materials returned to the library are being quarantined for 72 hours before they are re-shelved. To facilitate quarantine, the book return is open 10am – 1pm Tuesday – Saturday.
If you have been holding library books at home from before the closure, it’s time to return them.
