Smoke Eaters acquire Goaltender Paler-Chow from Kings
The Trail Smoke Eaters are excited to announce they have acquired Matteo Paler-Chow from the Powell River Kings
The Trail Smoke Eaters have filled their vacant goaltending spot by acquiring Matteo Paler-Chow from the Powell River Kings. Another veteran of the BCHL in Paler-Chow has backstopped the Kings since the 2017-18 season. He took the Kings to the BCHL Semi-Finals in 17/18 putting up phenomenal numbers with a 2.43 GAA and a 0.925 SV%. Paler-Chow, will make a dynamic duo in net with Logan Terness, solidifying the back end for the Smokies following the departure of Donovan Buskey. Trail sends Jordan Hendry to Powell River in exchange.
“The addition of Matteo Paler-Crow gives us immediate stability at the goaltending position after Donovan Buskey left our team earlier this week,” said head coach and gm Jeff Tambellini. “Matteo is a proven BCHL goalie who has an outstanding playoff record over the past two seasons. Most importantly, he is young man who wants to be in the city of Trail and is willing to do whatever he can to help our team win. Matteo and Logan Terness will be a great duo and our staff has full confidence that either goalie can steal us a game on any given night.”
The 20-year-old from Vancouver will join the team Friday in West Kelowna and will wear number 33 for the Smokies. The Smoke Eaters want to welcome Matteo to Trail and look forward to seeing him in Smoke Eaters colours very soon.
The Smoke Eaters would also like to thank Jordan Hendry for his time in Trail and wish him luck in Powell River.
