Rossland Museum Grand Re-Opening
Rossland’s Museum and Discovery Centre staff and volunteers have been working hard over the winter season on Phase One of the museum renovation project. On Friday, June 30, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, all are welcome to come and view the results. Until then, some construction is still happening.
“It looks completely different!” exclaimed Carol Cooper, one of the Museum’s board members.
Kiana Tingley, a staff member, said, “It’s looking really great. The Museum looks small from the outside, but when you get inside, it’s really big — sort of like Mary Poppins’ magic bag.”
And on July 1, the Museum will be “open for real” and is hosting Canada Day celebrations, extra special this year for Canada 150. The celebration activities will include face painting and gold panning for kids, live music, and food trucks to fuel the fun. Check out the museum’s website at http://www.rosslandmuseum.ca for more information about events and activities.
