The Reluctant Dragon: Call for Auditions
Can you sing? Do you like getting dressed up in costumes and having a lot of fun? The Rossland Light Opera Players (RLOP) are planning to produce “The Reluctant Dragon” as their April 2017 Mainstage Production, and are looking for actor/singers, and — for those who prefer to take part behind the scenes — production crew members. Production crew get to feel just as proud of the production as the actors and have just as much fun, but without enduring any stage fright.
A dragon and a knave (or was it a varlet?) put on an entertaining verbal battle of mostly Shakespearian insults, punctuated with a brief show of mock sword-play, before a packed house at the Joe Hill Coffee-House on Sunday, November 20, to advertise the call for auditions.
Go to the RLOP Hall at 2054 Washington Street for:
Script read-through: Monday, November 28 at 6:30 pm
Cast auditions: Tuesday November 28 at 6:30 pm, and Thursday December 1 at 6:30 pm.
Interested parties of all ages are advised to come prepared to sing — either “O Canada” or “Happy Birthday.” Start priming those voice-boxes! Mi mi mi mi — la la la la!
