Beaverdell man dies in Hwy crash

The Midway RCMP Detachment and West Kootenay Traffic Services responded to a report of a single motorcycle crash on Highway 33, south of Beaverdell.

When the RCMP arrived at the scene, they found a 56-year-old male deceased on site.

According to Sgt. John Ferguson of the West Kootenay Traffic Services,  Beaverdell man and was driving an uninsured Harley Davidson when he lost control of the motorcycle and went onto the shoulder where he was ejected from the bike.

Investigators are not ruling out speed or alcohol and say that he was not wearing a helmet. They are continuing to investigate.

The crash happened Monday, July 21 at 6:33 p.m.
