A 26-year-old Nelson man was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition following a single-vehicle truck accident Sunday morning on the Highway 3A/6 interchange.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:50 a.m. when the male driving a newer model Ford F-150 lost control on the Highway 3A/6  interchange heading west from Nelson, jumping the curb.

The truck rolled once down the bank, landing on its roof at the north entrance of the tunnel walkway from lower Rosemont to the Railtown.

The driver was not injured in the accident but Nelson Police said alcohol was a factor in this accident and issued the man a 90-day suspension.

Nelson Fire Department also attended the accident scene.

Traffic on the four-lane interchange was re-routed slightly while a wrecker pulled the vehicle from the walkway below the highway.
